Prairie House: Our Amazing StaffFrom the front entry at Prairie House to the back door of the kitchen, every member of our dedicated staff loves to meet the unique needs of our residents. Our team is experienced, compassionate, and professional. We have the greatest staff members around, whose daily desire is to make TODAY a wonderful day for our residents.

As energetic as they are fun to be around, our team at Prairie House Assisted Living and Memory Care really enjoy working together! And when working together is fun, the joy is contagious! Our nurses, activity directors, housekeepers, professional chefs, therapists, office managers, and maintenance pros are all here to serve you and your loved ones.


 

Anthony Fleming – Director of Sales and MarketingAnthony Fleming – Director of Sales and Marketing

Anthony joins our team with over 17 years of service within senior living and long term care. Originally from Arkansas, Anthony moved to Tulsa 13 years ago to pursue his career in long term care administration. To know Anthony is to know his passion for delivering quality service for seniors and his heart for those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia.

He is a Certified Dementia Practitioner, Alzheimer’s support group facilitator, and a licensed assisted living administrator since 2011. “It occurred to me several years ago I was on the path I was meant to lead — my personality aligned with my purpose and that’s a pretty magical thing. I wake up every day blessed to serve in my capacity,” says Fleming.

Anthony still makes time to visit his family in Arkansas and enjoys time outdoors, in the mountains, and travels any chance he gets. He is an avid distance runner, loves staying active, and spending time with his four French bulldogs (Queenie, Jiggy, Maddie, & Peabo).

Cherie Wallace – Director of SalesCherie Wallace – Director of Sales and Marketing

Cherie Wallace serves as our Director of Sales with many years of experience in healthcare. Cherie has a passion for serving seniors, with a heart in advocating for those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia. She enjoys her daily interactions with the residents and considers herself blessed to have a career doing what she loves at Prairie House.

Originally from Scotland, UK, Cherie has raised her 4 children in Broken Arrow and considers herself a Broken Arrow “girl”.

Cherie loves cooking, gardening, and any football game or a car race. In her spare time, she enjoys lake time with her family, friends, and her dog, Roscoe.

Shelby Harrison – Director of Culinary ServicesShelby Harrison – Director of Culinary Services

A native to Amarillo, Texas, Shelby grew up on a 700-acre cattle ranch with her parents, sister, and grandparents. Her family ran a semi-truck stop that also included a hotel and a restaurant, which sparked her passion for the hospitality industry. In the mid-’90s her parents Sheridan and Glenda Rose opened a small family-owned restaurant in the town of Claude, Texas. Shelby spent her days after school in the kitchen, helping prepare for evening dinner service, baking desserts with her mother, and serving tables of guests from the small surrounding communities. After relocating to the Green Country area of Oklahoma, Shelby graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management in 2006.

Shelby currently resides in Okmulgee with her husband David ‘Lee’ Harrison, a retired Navy Seal. Her hobbies include kayaking, fishing, and spending time with her husband’s children Hayden, Emma, and Alex.

Amy Haggard – Director of Life EnrichmentAmy Haggard – Director of Life Enrichment

Amy Haggard serves as our Director of Life Enrichment. She was born and raised in Tulsa and attended Tulsa Community College, Christ for the Nations Institute in Dallas, and Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow. Amy has a passion for making seniors smile and engaging them in fun activities. She enjoys introducing new games and activities and creating memories with the residents.

In Amy’s spare time she enjoys reading, watching old movies, and spending time with her family.

 

Pam Lay – Activities DirectorPam Lay – Activities Director

Pam Lay serves our residents as Activities Director. For more than ten years, Pam has volunteered for a number of non-profit organizations and served St. Francis Hospice, Clarehouse, and related organizations assisting elderly adults. She brings an uncommon but appreciated commitment and enthusiasm to every organization for whom she works and consistently demonstrates a unique willingness and ability to proactively look for ways to add value to the lives of the people she serves.

A lifetime Tulsa area resident, Pam is proud of her four grandchildren and lives her life to the fullest. She and her husband of 27 years enjoy spending time with their grandchildren and caring for their aging parents.

Tiffany Goodwin – Business Office ManagerTiffany Goodwin – Business Office Manager

Service in the United States Air Force was the beginning of Tiffany’s career in the medical field in 2007. She has been involved in senior living since 2015. She is currently working on her Business Administration degree in pursuit of her dream of becoming an Administrator in senior living.

Tiffany says, ”I have a wonderful husband who I have been married to for ten years and we have two fun-loving boys, ages 8 and 11. In my spare time, I love to read and spend time with my family going on adventures.”

Zach Henson

Zach has been working in senior care for the past 8 years serving the Tulsa area through leadership in Hospice Care, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. Zach has a strong devotion to the care of seniors that was developed very early through his personal family experiences while navigating the senior living world caring for his grandmother. This experience led Zach to attend the University of Alabama where he received a degree in Business Administration, specializing in Healthcare Management. In 2012, Zach relocated to Oklahoma to be close to his family. His love for family and building relationships are at the core of what drives him to live every day with a tempered approach, a positive outlook,  with a smile on his face.

Zach has an adamant passion for the care of his residents, families, and staff leading from his heart with empathy and understanding. His goal at Prairie House is to ensure all residents are provided and served the highest quality of care and wake up each day to a lifestyle with purpose and fulfillment.

In Zach’s spare time, he enjoys spending time with his girlfriend, Kristina watching football and sports, grilling, and spending time with his family.

Kayla Cooper – Director of Nursing

Kayla was introduced to senior living at just 16 years old working as a CNA in a Long-Term Care Facility.  While working as a CAN, Kayla knew that working with the senior population was her calling. Kayla became an LPN in 2017, and began her career with Prairie House in February 2017, as the evening shift charge nurse.   She was promoted in 2018 to the day shift charge nurse, and again in 2019 to the Assistant Director of Nursing. In July 2020, Kayla was promoted to the Director of Nursing role.  She is currently a student at Tulsa Community College to further her education and become a Registered Nurse. She will graduate from Tulsa Community College in December of 2021 and plans to continue her education at The University of Oklahoma.  Throughout her career,  Kayla has found her passion for serving the senior population and interacting with them and their families.  Her long-term educational goal is to become a Nurse Practitioner with a specialty in Geriatrics. 

Kayla was raised in Muskogee.  Kayla married her husband Shane in July 2017. They now have a dog, Harley, and a cat, Mellow.  Kayla and Shane recently purchased a new home on 10 acres in the Muskogee area. In her free time, Kayla enjoys spending time outdoors on her land, and at the lake fishing with her husband.  Kayla also enjoys helping her parents and grandparents in the family concession business, Deb’s Pineapple Whip – a Tulsa State Fair favorite for over 50 years! 

Cody – Director of Plant Operations

Cody began with Prairie House as a volunteer in 2019. He officially became Director of Plant Operations in January 2020. Cody has 11 years in the Maintenance and Construction industry. He has worked in Building Operations over the last 5 years mainly in the senior industry. Cody has always enjoyed serving his elders,  and really enjoys working at Prairie House where he takes the time to get to know his residents and their families. Occasionally, you will even find Cody making our residents’ day brighter helping with activities, and sharing a laugh.

A native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Cody grew up playing league soccer from 4 to 22 years old. He now enjoys soccer with his boys. Cody is married to Tiffany and they have two boys, Caleb and Teagan.    Cody is an avid animal lover and he has added 3 rescue dogs to their family.  In his spare time, Cody enjoys being outside working in his garden, camping, and hiking with his family.
